Who are we?
The Athlete's Foot in Downtown Columbus, Indiana is an independently owned
franchise store. This allows us to meet our customers' needs and wants.
Established in July 2005, the technical shoe fitting store concept was shaped
by Marty Arnett and Amy Macy.
During a personal training session, Marty and Amy were discussing the
importance of proper footwear and how Columbus needs a type of retail store that
would "fit" a person in the proper shoe. Therefore, an idea was born.
With hard work and the support of family and friends, The Athlete's Foot
opened its doors July 8, 2005.
We pride ourselves on our FitPrint system and expertise in running and
stability shoes. Staff members are trained in the FitPrint, types of shoes and
orthotics and injury and medical needs. Our use of several major brands of
technical running shoes and inserts as well as extensive size ranges allows us
to customize the fit for most every individual's needs.

Marty Arnett, owner, is a mother of one and grandmother of three active
grandchildren. She knows how important the right shoe for a person can be and
that having the right shoes for children involved in sport is also
important.
Amy Macy, owner and store operator, is an Exercise Physiologist and personal
trainer. She is involved in coaching a variety of sports. She recognizes that
injury prevention can start from the feet up.
Harley is the store golden retriever. Come on by and she will be glad to say
Hi and best of all, she is a great entertainer when mom wants to try on
shoes.
